Ashtanga Summer Camp - June 10,17,24, and July 1st (4 consecutive Mondays)

The Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series is a vigorous vinyasa-based sequence developed by K. Pattabhi Jois. In this 4 week class series, we will discuss the fundamental aspects of the practice, including breath, dristi, bandhas, vinyasa, and the sequence itself. In the first two weeks, the Primary Series will be introduced with an emphasis on the alignment and modifications for some of the more challenging poses in this series. These two weeks will include a combination of flowing vinyasa and detailed alignment. In the third week, we will practice the entire Primary Series. The fourth week will be Mysore style, where you will have the opportunity to practice at your own pace with one on one assistance from the instructor. All levels welcome, although a general knowledge of the basic yoga poses will be helpful.
